The Options bottles have the same anti-colic action Dr. Brown??s is known for ?C eliminating air bubbles and maintaining nutrients that normally breakdown when exposed to oxygen. With these bottles you can also remove the venting insert when your child has become a feeding champ. It??s nice to be able to ditch the teeny parts that need a special brush and take more time to clean. (The brush is included in this kit.) Also in the kit are travel caps you screw onto the bottle neck for when you??re on the go. Just pack the nipple (and the two-part vent insert if you??re still using it) for when it??s time to eat.

When newborns first start bottle feeding, pediatricians recommend using a ??slow flow?? nipple (also called Level 1), so that the baby doesn??t get too much milk at once. Also if you are switching back and forth from breast to bottle, slow flow nipples can prevent babies from getting too attached to the bottle. Around three months old, your baby will probably be ready to graduate to Level 2. This starter kit includes 5 Level 1 nipples and 2 Level 2 nipples, so you will be all set for six months.

These bottles may leak during feeding sessions, but many parents put up with it because Dr. Brown??s are great at reducing colic and spit-up.
